Our boutique hotel’s “Art Deco” style is prevalent throughout with an original blend of French and  british colonial furnishings. The ambiance is residential, as if one was staying in a private villa. Hence the slogan “A Residence of Charm” says all about our unique elegance. The central building of the boutique hotel was formally the private residence of former Luang Prabang nobility, its original splendor derived from the 1920s, evokes a sense of the French past.

The 33 guest rooms of the Villa Maly boutique hotel occupy five different buildings, including Plumeria, which was once the home of a royal Lao family. Each was designed as individual grace notes, to be inhabited by guests for a day, or three, or a week at a time, and then to inhabit that same guest’s memory for years to come. Common to each and every room are the trappings of Luang Prabang’s inimitable architectural appeal. Parquet floors, furnishings of tropical hardwood and in some, open timber-framed ceilings. At Villa Maly boutique hotel, our menu dabbles in the culinary traditions of the East and West, with a scattering of French standards and a little bit of Lao adventure. While you may be lured for a dinner or two beyond the confines of Villa Maly, we do urge you to experience the set menu at Le Vetiver one evening. This is real Lao cuisine by an exceptional Lao chef.
