Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala

If you can climb 4,000 steps up the hill, the Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala is the one for you. The trek itself can take anywhere between two to four hours is worth the effort when your eyes meet the sight that you see above. One of the richest temples in the country (indeed the world), Tirumala’s Venkateswara Temple has a gold-plated dome. The temple also receives several celebrity guests, the most prominent among them being Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan who visited the temple after their wedding ceremony in 2007.
